Roumazières Loubert and its region and the canton of Chabanais are rich in a diverse network of associations where there is always something, whether in sports, entertainment and culture. Each of these municipalities, primarily rural, has specificities and heritage of its own: Chassenon and Gallo Roman festival Roumazières and clay Chabanais its festival of livestock and dairy Exideuil and music festival , Saint Quentin and lakes of Haute Charente . . . As part of the Festival of Science, students in sixth and elementary schools in St Quentin, and Exideuil Chabanais were received at the College Jean Baptiste Quintinie to participate in scientific workshops. The theme of pdf chemistry books was chosen for the 2011 edition. The first workshop led by Frederic Brunel, professor of physical science has aimed to produce amusing and spectacular produce fluorescent light, creating immediate solidification by stalagmites, produce smoke, so many experiments that show multiple oddities of chemistry. Anne Dutheil, teacher of Life Sciences and Earth, she found a second workshop in the fascinating world of rocks. The rock lady of the workshop is the granite, the students were able to materialize the crystallization of minerals in order to understand the milieu in which the granite is formed and then were able to show the evolution of the granite over time. Beatrice Bourgoin, Director of SEGPA made students aware that in our environment, there are also transformations. During a hunt, they discovered the phenomena of decomposition, transformation of matter in various ecosystems. Pauline Balotte, assistant education has allowed her students to explore careers in chemistry using a video game on a website on the site of the college. . . .
